'Our vision is of a Sierra Leone in which blind and visually impaired persons have the same opportunities, rights, and responsabilities as the sighted.'

ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE

Vision for the blind is carefully structured to meet the professional standards of an international non-profit organization. We are governed by a seven-member executive board.

Samuel Sesay and Ali Martin Sesay are Chairman and Secretary General respectively. The Executive Board is responsible of outlining rules and regulations that bind the membership of the organization. As such they are responsible for the governance of the organization.

MANAGEMENT

Vision for the Blind (VFB) is headed by the Executive Director, who is responsible to coordinate dad-to-day activities along with the Programme Officer and other volunteers. He or she designs proposals and coordinates the affairs of the Secretariat. The Programme Officer supervises all projects implemented by the organization as he or she liaises with the Executive Director on relevant issues pertaining to the running of the organization.

The Finance Officer is responsible to prepare budgets, disburse funds, and prepare financial reports.

THE COORDINATORS

Each of the projects that VFB undertakes is directly controlled by a Project Coordinator/Officer. To name but a few: the music project is headed by our Music Coordinator, Christopher Alie Conteh and the skills training project is headed by Jartu Mansaray. The human desk is being manned by our Human Rights Officer, Sahr Yillia, and a host of volunteers also provide logistical services for our activities.
